Don Wall from Don Wall Productions contacted me about creating presentations for the Taylorville Energy Center. Taylorville is on the cutting edge of a new "Clean Coal" process being introduced into coal energy facilities. Through the use of cylindrical vats and large scale filter scrubbers they take the excess fumes that normally is dumped into the atmosphere and they run it through their system which removes, separates and captures chemicals that can be reclaimed for recycling. For the project I was to model various modules and facilities that would be combined with animations highlighting specific techniques and procedures that were needed to illustrate the "Clean Coal" process. Below are some of the modules I created including Acid Gas Removal, Sulfur Separator, Mercury Removal, and Particle Scrubber vats. Along with building the Gasifier and Methonator modules I illustrated their function by animating various process they deploy. I also modeled and animated the huge jet turbine used to power the facility.
